Infinitely variable spindle speeds
We have chosen to work with 400 Hz as our base frequency. This gives a very reliable motor, the bearings will live longer and there is no need for frequent maintenance.   Thanks to the exclusive Pentruder autofeed system, the high frequency machinery will always work at maximum power and the cutting will be smooth and uninterrupted.   Infinitely variable spindle speeds in every gear for all HF-wall saws. This is varied electronically with the potentiometer.

Slip clutch protects the HF-motor
Independent of what size blade is needed, the 2-speed respectively 4-speed gearbox allows the Pentruder wall saw to work with a remarkably high torque at all spindle speeds.   The double cooling system for the HF-motor gives sustained reliable power and high efficiency.   Main HF-motor has slip clutch for protection of the gear train if a blade is jammed.

Well protected travel and feed motors
The guide rollers on the saw head are aligned above each other, in the same plane as for the cut. This provides the highest levels of safety, stability and precision of cut.   Conical self cleaning low wear rollers for optimal support and control of the saw head.
 		   Travel and feed motors are protected within the chassis body. No electric parts except for connectors are exposed to dirt.

Quick disconnect coupling for blade
Quick release coupling for HF-motor on saw head. To put the motor on the saw head or to remove it takes just a few seconds.   Flexible track system saves a lot of time and trouble when setting up the machine.
 
 		   Our patented quick disconnect blade flange coupling is an extremely valuable and safety enhancing feature. The saw blade can be fitted to the saw head even after the machine has been mounted.

The Pentruder 8-20iQ can be powered by the 15, 18, 22 and 27 kW HF-motor.
The most common combination is with the 22 or 27 kW HF-motor.

We only recommend the 27 kW HF-motor when the concrete is extremely hard or the re-bar is very extensive. This recommendation is due to the high amperage draw of the 27 kW HF-motor compared to the 22 kW HF-motor. The 22 kW HF-motor is in most cases the best choice.

Combined with the 22 kW HF-motor the Pentruder 8-20iQ has a lower spindle speed than the Pentruder 8-20HF. This means it is very suitable for hard aggregate and a lot of re-bar.

The Pentpak 427 is needed to power the 27 kW HF-motor. If the Pentruder 8-20iQ is used with a smaller motor it can also be powered by the Pentpak 422 or Pentpak 418.
